Mission Trip Update

To see pics and read about all the amazing things the Navigate/Saturate/Mexico Team are doing.

Check out HPC's HPGlobal website.

Please keep my baby girl and the whole mission team in your prayers, as they share 'The Word' and Love of Jesus with those across the border, who don't yet know Him.

4th of July - Navigate/Saturate Style

My Mom had the idea of designing a costume in the form of The Declaration of Independance, but I told her I wouldn't wear it, not to waste her time. Turned out, quite a few others had the same idea, as there were at least a dozen or so walking around with their version of a D of I costume.
I was one of just a handful of others who attended this class day in my normal class uniform, jeans and t-shirt.
It was hilarious to see the ideas some students came up with, like the guy to the far right with the paper plate with the American flag design taped to his forehead and a flag hanging out his back pocket.

Outreach and visit to the State Capitol

While on an Outreach in Downtown Baton Rouge, the group of Navigate/Saturate Interns I was with, battleing the M~E~A~N~H~E~A~T, decided to enter the State Capitol Building, not only to share some gum and a lil Jesus, But to catch some N*I*C*E, K*O*O*L A/C and check out the Awesome view from the top of the building.

Day 2 - Tardy Strike One

My mom tried, but the traffic was just too crazy.

I got to class nearly 10 minutes late, so I had to join the others in the kitchen who were also tardy.

I don't know about the rest, but I had a blast!!

You can't put me in a kitchen and call it punishment, seriously, all that'll do is make me want to be late on purpose.

By the end of the day, I signed up with HPC's "Cooking for Christ" Ministry.

Navigate Outreach Day 1

Day 1 took us out on the streets of the inner city of Baton Rouge.

In the middle of the day I might add!!

We went door to door offering chocolate treats and of course threw some Jesus in the mix.

Believe it or not, but some people actually didn't open their door.

WHO doesn't open the door for CHOCOLATE?

Navigate Internship

Dear Friend,

I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in a life-changing internship program this summer called Navigate and would like to invite you to help support me in this new adventure.
Navigate is an awesome 9-wk summer internship for 6th-8th graders. Classes begin Sunday, June 1st thru Thursday, July 24th, following the mandatory Navigate Boot Camp on May 27th-29th. Exciting ministry classes will be conducted in the mornings and World-Changing outreaches in the afternoons.
During my internship, I will grow in Christ, serve Him wholeheartedly and be a witness to the world. This program will enable me to learn first-hand what Jesus-style leadership is all about, and to build a strong foundation in God's Word that will ignite a passion to stand up, stand out, and change the world.
The highlight of my internship will take place Monday, July 28th - Monday, August 4th, as I take part in my very first mission trip to Acuna, Mexico.
My internship and mission trip fees total $793.00. This total does not include other expenses which I will undoubtedly incur.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider supporting me in prayer and financially as I dedicate these 9 weeks solely to the Lord. Your support, especially in prayer, is a key part of seeing lives changed during my internship.
I will post updates throughout my internship on a special blog, listed above, so as to keep you and other supporters informed in respects to your investment, so please check it often.

Respectfully yours,
Nellie
